Philipsborn's 1922-23
43 new fashion images from Philipsborn's 1922-23 Fall/Winter catalog are now available online!
This means that there are now more than 1,000 images in the photo gallery from all years from 1916 to 1933 online. All images in the photo gallery and in the individual fashion years can be enlarged and are available in the size of 680 x 480 pixels.
The text on the fashion of the early 1930s on the Fashion Development page has been significantly expanded and revised. Moreover, the years 1920-21 and 1929 have received a source list.

1st update in 2011
The 1st update this year brings new scans from the company magazine Haensel-Echo No. 6 with the latest men's fashion from fall and winter 1929-30 and additionally 12 scans with elegant women's fashion from the German fashion magazine Modenschau No. 225 from September 1931.
Thus, a total of 975 scans are now available in the photo gallery.
The Fashion Year 1929 has again undergone a drastic expansion: new is an overview of the current men's fashion of the year 1929. The fall and winter issue of the Haensel-Echo of 1929-30 served as the main source for this. The report on women's fashion in the spring and summer, as well as the fashion change in the fall of 1929 has also become much more detailed!

70 new fashion scans from 1920
It took several weeks to scan, digitally edit, label, upload, and write the explanations, but the wait paid off!
The 70 pages of fashions from the National Cloak & Suit Company's catalog for Spring and Summer 1920 provide a fascinating look at early 1920s fashions that look so different from the typical flapper fashions of the late 1920s.
In addition to the new 70 pages, the 1920-21 Fashion Year content has also been dramatically expanded in recent weeks.

Reconstruction completed!
The reconstruction of the site Zwischenkriegszeit.de is now completed after only one month!
From now on new content will be added to the site again.
We start with 12 new images from the Austrian fashion magazine Die Schoene Wienerin No. 232 from April 1932.
A total of 885 fashion images from 25 US mail order catalogs and 17 fashion magazines from the period 1916 to 1933 are now available in the photo gallery!
