Wiener Record Mode – August 1930

The first transitional models for the autumn season were presented in the August 1930 issue of the Austrian fashion magazine Wiener Record Mode No. 117. Several fashion photographs in the front part of the magazine present travel costumes, raincoats, autumn coats, dresses for the morning and ensembles. Black-and-white and colored fashion illustrations show elegant afternoon and visiting dresses, street clothes, evening dresses, tailor's costumes, coats for the transition, children's clothes or even ladies' underwear.

Chicago Mail Order Co. 1930

Colorful cloche hats, caps and picture hats in bright colors were presented by the Chicago Mail Order Co. catalog for spring and summer 1930 for the elegant lady. The stock market had collapsed only a few months earlier, but the pages of the catalogue showed no sign of the looming world economic crisis. Instead, the new fashion line brought a taste of the feminine fashion of the 1930s.

Modenschau – July 1925

Elegant visiting and tea dresses, glamorous toilets for the sociable afternoon and evening, costumes, summer dresses, but also mourning and children's clothes are shown in the July issue of the German Modenschau no. 151 from 1925. Besides two colored panels in four-color printing, the interior also contains three pages with three fashion photographs each from the US press agency Press Photo in the issue.

Die Schöne Wienerin – June 1932

The June 1932 issue of the Austrian magazine Die Schöne Wienerin No. 234 showed the most beautiful afternoon dresses and ensembles for the midsummer season. In the summer fashion of 1932 beach pajama dresses with particularly wide cut legs were popular.

Articles asked three actresses about their beauty care ("How do you do cosmetics?") or reported on "Modern sun worshippers".

National Cloak & Suit Co. 1920

Summer fashion in 1920 focused on accentuated hip and tunic dresses. Draperies made of fabric bulged the lap. Kasacks, costumes and knitted sweaters showed wide laps.

171 additional new pages from the National Cloak & Suit Company's mail-order catalogue for spring and summer 1920 are now available – previously only 79 pages were online. All old page declarations have been revised.
