Modenschau – October 1926

In addition to the previously only five pages, the entire Modenschau issue No. 166 from October 1926 is now online. Besides the four color pages, the previously missing formal and afternoon dresses, tea dresses, dance and ball gowns for the evening, ensembles, street dresses, and ski and winter sports costumes can now be found in the issue.

The 1931-32 issue of Hansel Echo No. 10 is also supplemented by the loose enclosed business letter that had been missing until now.

Haensel-Echo No. 6 – 1929

Today marks the completion of Haensel Echo Issue No. 6 from 1929-30. From now on, all pages of the issue are online, instead of the previous seven pages.

In addition to the colored drawings of the then current men's fashion, the issue now also contains the previously missing instructions and advice on the accurate cutting and processing of Haensel's finished products made of horsehair for men's tailors in Germany and abroad.

Hamilton Garment Co. 1919-20

Today artdeco-boulevard.de (previously zwischenkriegszeit.de) turns 10 years old. Since 2009, the site has been providing detailed insights into the fashion of the past. To mark its 10th anniversary, today the site publishes the exactly 100-year-old catalog of the New York department store Hamilton Garment Co. from the fall/winter of 1919-20. On display are day, afternoon and evening dresses, blouses, shoes, underwear, fur articles and costumes in a variety of price ranges for women.

The database contains 4,600 pages as of now.

Le Miroir des Modes – August 1917

A month ago, the July issue of the French magazine Le Miroir des Modes from 1917 was put online. Today, the publication of the August issue No. 2 of the same year 1917 follows.

On 18 of the total 44 pages, transitional models of women's dresses, coats, blouses and skirts for the coming fall season are presented, as well as children's clothing. The article on page 43 reports on women during the war (French: "Les femmes pendant la guerre").

Modenschau – August 1926

The August issue of Modenschau No. 164 from 1926 brought the dressmaking woman the first transitional models for the rapidly approaching autumn. Among them were autumn coats, capes, autumn dresses, ensembles, costumes, blouses and dresses for girls.

The beginning of autumn was also the beginning of the ball season, therefore the first dance and ball gowns can be found in the magazine. The editorial reported on "Modern Portrait Photography." There are now 4,500 pages online in the database.
